The IPC Awards, initiated in 2011 for the best farmers, exporters of value added pepper & pepper products and manufacturer of innovative pepper products, to encourage them, following the decision made by the Executive Meeting of Heads of Delegation at the 38th Session held in Cochin, India.
The IPC award is also expected to promote the winners to have public recognition which at the end will further help them gain more success in the domestics and international markets.
The 2013 IPC Awards were handed over to the winners on 27th October 2014 during the Opening Ceremony of the 42nd Session of IPC held at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam by the Honorable Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam in the presence of the IPC then Chairman, Mr. Tran Kim Long and Executive Director of IPC, Mr. WDL. Gunaratne.
