On 13 May 2026, the International Pepper Community (IPC), together with the Directorate General of International Trade Negotiations and key representatives of Indonesia's pepper and spices industry, convened at the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia for a strategic coordination meeting in preparation for Indonesia's IPC Chairmanship in 2026.
The meeting focused on strengthening coordination and aligning preparations for the 54th IPC Annual Session and International Spices Exhibition, scheduled to take place in Bali from 30 November to 04 December 2026.
More than a routine coordination meeting, the discussion reflected a shared commitment to positioning Indonesia as an active driver of collaboration, innovation, and sustainability within the global pepper community. The upcoming Annual Session is expected to serve as an important platform to connect governments, industry players, researchers, and international stakeholders in shaping the future direction of the spice sector.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of stronger synergy between public institutions and industry stakeholders in ensuring that Indonesia's Chairmanship delivers meaningful impact, not only for the national pepper sector but also for the broader global spice community.
As preparations move forward, Indonesia continues to reinforce its commitment to advancing a more connected, resilient, and forward-looking pepper industry.
