Dr. Agus Wahyudi named as Director of Spices and Seasonal Crops of the Agriculture Ministry of Indonesia

Dr. Agus Wahyudi has been appointed as the Director of Spices and Seasonal Crops under the Directorate General of Estate Crops of the Ministry of Agriculture of Indonesia. Dr. Agus Wahyudi was one among some other senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture who were inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture on 10th October 2016 in Jakarta.

Prior to his new appointment Dr. Agus Wahyudi has been working for pepper and other spices. He was the Head of the Indonesia Research Institute for Spices and Medicinal Crops (BALITTRO) based in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia.

He was the Vice-Chairman of the IPC Committee on Research and Development and has attended many of the Annual Sessions, the Pepper-Tech Meetings and Meetings of the IPC Committee on R&D held in the past years.

The IPC wishes to congratulate Dr. Agus Wahyudi for his appointment as the new Director of Spices and Seasonal Crops and hope that the work relationship between the IPC and the Directorate of Spices and Seasonal Crops can be further strengthened for the betterment of the pepper industry, particularly in Indonesia.
