(Economic Times) Normal to marginally lower production has been predicted for pepper. After hovering around Rs 140 per kg, prices shot above Rs 200 per kg towards the end of the year. The same trend could prevail in 2011. After softening, the prices could firm up in the latter part of the year as we expect a balance between supply and demand, says Ajay Mariwala, managing director of Vallabhdas Kanji Ltd.
