Whether you are an exporter, importer, processor or grinder of pepper, manufacturers of spice processing machineries, the upcoming meetings of IPC will provide you with opportunity to meet all the players in the global pepper and spice industry from all producing and consuming countries .

The 36th Session and Meetings of IPC scheduled for 3 1/2 days from 24th - 27th November 2008, are being hosted by the Government of Vietnam in Rex Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City. The 36th Session and Meetings are organized jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam Pepper Association and IPC Secretariat, Jakarta.

Vietnam which is now the world's largest pepper producer and exporter with the estimated production between 90,000 - 100,000 metric tons, joined the IPC as full member in 2005. Vietnam is now holding the Chairmanship of the IPC for the period of 2007-2008.

The current Chairman of IPC is H.E. Mr. Diep Kinh Tan, who is the Vice-Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), Government of Vietnam.

In conjunction with the 36th Session and Meetings of IPC, A Vietnam International Pepper & Spice Exhibition 2008, is also being arranged by the Vietnam Agriculture Marketing Fair and Exhibition Center, Vietnam Pepper Association and CIS Vietnam Advertising and Exhibition JSC.

Officials and leading exporters of pepper and other spices from Vietnam and other IPC member countries including Brazil, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka as well as trade representatives from other producing and consuming countries and UN agencies (FAO, ITC, Codex) are expected to participate in this year's Global Pepper Conference and Vietnam International Pepper and Spice Exhibition in 2008.

These two-in-one event will offer the delegates a unique opportunity to maintain existing partnerships and develop new contacts in the world pepper and spice trade.
