DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

Dear Friends,

It gives me immense pleasure to announce that the International Pepper Conference 2019 will be held at Pullman Vung Tau, Vung Tau city, Viet Nam between the 12th and 14th November 2019.

The theme for this year's conference is "Pepper in the Next Decade". We all have seen the roller coaster ride that pepper has taken all these years. Now, we are at a very interesting time which may well be the inflexion point in pepper. With prices coming close to cost of production, farmer morale is lowest. Supply exceeds demand and carry over is strong. Demand has been increasing and new applications are found each year. The vibe from a bearish mode has changed to that of a caution. Perhaps it is at this juncture that one has to examine what is in store for pepper in the coming decade.

This year's theme will help crystallise our views on how pepper could behave in the next decade. International Pepper Community will be inviting industry experts and policy makers from world over to deliberate and construct strategies in the coming decade to reduce volatility, improve quality, improve farmer morale and foster transparency.

International Pepper Conference 2019 is expected to be one of the largest ever conferences of the International Pepper Community. As the largest producer and exporter of pepper in the world, Viet Nam has always attracted the largest number of customers from around the world. And the warm hospitality of the Government of Viet Nam and Vietnamese exporters are something you cannot afford to miss.

Registrations open now and we welcome all participants to join the International Pepper Conference 2019 and make it a grand success like always.
